The real battle is joined -- finally
A return to the Secure Fence Act of 2006

Hoist on their own petard
The latest outrage over President-elect Trump's proposed "border wall" is instructive.
The New York Times is reporting growing opposition to Trump's plan to build a border fence as authorized in the Secure Fence Act of 2006, but never completed.
But where was the outrage in 2006? It didn't exist because many of those who voted for the Secure Fence Act did so with a wink and a nod --- they knew President Bush wasn't serious about building a border fence --- it was just a ploy to pave the way for amnesty.
I knew it too, so I launched Operation B.E.E.F. --- Border Enforcement Evaluation First, i.e., before any amnesty is passed.
    The founding document, said:
 Operation BEEF
The Secure Fence Act of 2006 was the only immigration legislation passed during the last session of Congress. The yes vote was 67% in the House and 81% in the Senate. The President signed the bill on October 26. A battle is now looming over its implementation.
For twenty years our government has passed laws to control immigration but refused to enforce them. Will this pattern of failure and deceit continue or will the people rise up and demand that the Secure Fence Act of 2006 be implemented? America cannot afford to be deceived again
A History of Failure
There is mounting evidence that the Department of Homeland Security is not being forthright in its reporting of progress at the border. It is time America was told the truth about the border.
American Border Patrol is planning to monitor the implementation of the Secure Fence Act of 2006 . We call it “Operation B.E.E.F.”, or Border Enforcement Evaluation First. If the government says it’s going to beef up the border, we are going to ask, “where’s the beef?”.
ABP did its job by proving the fence was not being built, and Senator Elizabeth Dole used Operation B.E.E.F. to defeat the 2007 amnesty bill.
By upsetting this carefully crafted plan, I angered the left so much that I was henceforth banned from the public square.
Since I was a nothing, that was easy to do.
This time, however, a President Donald Trump will have the power to hoist the liberals on their own petard --- by shoving the Secure Fence Act down their throats --- and he will.
