Breaking his campaign promise?

Trump backs down on border wall funding
Donald Trump has indicated he will scrap plans to find cash for his border wall in this week's spending bill.
The president's close adviser, Kellyanne Conway, said funding for the wall would be left out of a budget measure that must pass by Friday.
Building the wall, paid for by Mexico, was a key campaign promise.
Democrats had threatened to block the bill if money was earmarked for the wall, so its omission may now avert a government shutdown.
But the president insisted on Twitter that he still supported the wall and that it would be built.

Don't underestimate President Trump
Some say Donald Trump was elected president because he promised to build a wall along the border with Mexico. Some say his supporters took him seriously, but not literally. Donald Trump used the term “wall “ as a metaphor, "a figure of speech in which a term or phrase is applied to something to which it is not literally applicable in order to suggest a resemblance, as in 'A mighty fortress is our God...'”
I supported Donald Trump because I took him seriously, not literally. In fact, I opposed the idea of a wall, and still do. President Trump will work his way out the use of the term “wall” and he will secure the border.
    Don't over underestimate him.
